In short, Y2Mate is designed to hold onto almost nothing. There is no registration and no login, and converting a video or downloading a file never asks for your name, email, or any personal detail. Below is the little that does pass through, and why.

No accounts, no profiles

With no sign up, nothing links a conversion back to you: no username, no saved history, no password stored. There is no data to sell here, and no interest in doing so.

What the servers see

As with any website, the servers keep short lived request logs, roughly a timestamp and a coarse network address, so the service stays up, abuse gets blocked, and bugs can be traced. They are operational records, not a profile of you.

An invisible Cloudflare Turnstile check helps keep bots from overrunning the converter. Real visitors almost never see it; it runs quietly in the background, and Cloudflare handles that step under its own privacy terms.

Kept in your browser

A couple of small preferences live only in your browser, such as your light or dark theme and a simple download tally that occasionally shows an optional support prompt. None of it reaches us, and clearing your browser data removes it at once.

How long files last

A finished MP3 or MP4 may sit on the servers briefly so a repeat request for the same video is quick, then it is cleared automatically. You do not need to do anything.
